how good or bad is that 15 quid torque wrench going to be?

It was £12.99 last time - I bought one. TUV approved. Only used it twice but works fine and feels substantial.

TUV approved so I'm guessing it's going to be reasonably OK, alright it ain't no Snap on Tool, but would probably do most home mechanics.

OK for a Saturday morning mechanic. Surely no-one expects the Span sorry, a professional product at that price point?

TUV approved is no nonsense.

If the Germans say it's up to scratch, then I think
you are on safe territory. They don't do things by halves.

For example, the TUV car test is considerably tougher than the UK annual MOT.

For comparison, I got a tray of a couple dozen ring
spanners, made of chrome vanadium, from Lidl and they
are good kit.

All for saving money but if I am wearing boots they will be the best that I can afford

Draper torque wrenches are less than £25. Take off a fiver for the name, and the Lidl one isn't far off the right price.
