Alfa GT JTD versus Merc C220 CDI Coupe

Hi Pistonheads!

My budget is £4k to £5k tops, after a diesel coupe and have always been an Alfa fan but also like the look of the Mercedes.

Which is the better all round car?

The Mercedes is disappointingly cheap inside - had them on my company car list, but one look convinced me not to bother.

The Alfa is a better drive, more attractive and at least as well built. It's a no brainer IMO.

Yeah the interior of the Merc is a let down especially when compared with the GT. I'm swayed towards the Alfa I think, but I have had an Alfa for the last few years and fancied a change I guess.
