I'm just watching a fairly crap film entitled Stuart: A life backwards
it's crap, but it really makes me think if I were back in the UK I'd have a Polo, an earlier one, mid 80s, but that's what I'd have, fairly standard looking but with a 20VT and decent brake and suspension upgrades, trimmers or minilites.
And probably an XJR or similar. A friend just bought a brilliant S8 for 4kGDP, which is another Blighty temptation.
That's all. I really really want a fast old sleeper Polo...
