Tyred of Looking!
Discussion
Following the recent bad weather, is there a national tyre shortage?
As I have been unable to find any this week anywhere, I am waiting a couple of weeks hoping tyres become available...
I need two each of "Y" rated 245/45R18 and 265/40R18 (could use 275/40R18) tyres and I do not want "run flats", as I do not like them.
Any ideas welcome...

Lots of availability from the European boys, value tyres, tyretraders etc.

Hi Trickywoo! Thank you for the hyper-links to Camskills.
They are based in Cumbria (I am near Cambridge), but they can deliver tyres to me, but I then need to find a tyre fitter willing to fit and balance them.
None of the "usual on-line tyre suppliers" have tyres for my car (MB S320CDi on AMG 18" rims)!
A couple of months ago, my local tyre shop (a well known chain) said that their health and safety people had told them not to fit tyres that had not been sourced by themselves.
Looking at the links, it appears the only same manufacturer.tread pattern tyres available for front and back are the FALKEN FK 452...and the rears have to be 275/40R18 rather than the manufacturer's specified 265/40R18 (I don't think this really matters), as there is loads of clearance in the wheel arches and the 275 tyre provided exactly the same effective diameter as the 245/45R18.
I never realised it could be so difficult to find a set of tyres...Unbelievable?
Thank you again for your help, I will investigate some local tyre fitters...
