Is it correct ?

This is the original single seat version, the F-80 Shooting Star.



The aircraft first flew in 1944 and entered service in 1945. Originally, they were designated P-80 (P stood for pursuit) but when the USAF was formed in 1947, the P was replaced by F, for fighter.

Looks like the T33 at the York Air Museum at Elvington.

Its parked up next to a memorial to RCAF crew killed in WWII. Many based at Yorkshire bases like Linton, Breighton, Elvington etc
