Disabled People Shouldn't Drive Nice Cars
Discussion
A mate has an older Bentley Turbo and was out using it at the weekend.
He parked it in a disabled space and as he got out a woman shouted at him for parking in the disabled space.
"How dare you park in the disabled space"
He replied "Because I have a permit, its in the window"
"You aren't disabled"
"No but my wife is" and he proceeds to get her wheelchair out the boot (she is still in the passenger seat)
"Disabled people shouldn't be allowed nice cars"

I know there are some mongs about but WTF ???

She's probably assuming it's been provided on some sort of motability scheme. He parked it in a disabled space and as he got out a woman shouted at him for parking in the disabled space.

She was desperate to avoid backing down and apologising. Couldn't admit she thought he was an arrogant Bentley-driving f
Using a blue badge to park, while carrying the blue badge holder yet able-bodied one's self, is fraught with these feckless bystanders who make snide comments.
If it wasn't comments about the Bentley, there would in all likelihood have been comments about the driver's seeming lack of any disability, or something else arbitrary and unreasonable...
Am glad I no longer have to park using a blue badge for a passenger - this also included getting a wheelchair out of the boot and easing the passenger out of the passenger door and into the wheelchair on many occasions. Women aged 60+ were by far the worst for the 'unhelpful' comments!

Some people are truly pathetic
A few years ago I bought a 400i from a chap who'd had it converted to hand controls, as prior to his accident, he'd always dreamt of buying a Ferrari, but kept putting it off . . . he traded the 400i in for a F355 with F1 box
Have also noticed a green VW/Bentley in the disabled bays in my local Tesco, with the owners blue badge in the window.

So his right leg was OK right?
You can just about make out the system used in Carols car in this photo

And Carol with her Mondial QV cab, that was converted by Clay Raggazoni

Slightly similar situation happened to me at Morrisons once, parked in the parent and child bay...Got out the car, woman next to me shouts something along the lines of
'Thats a parent and child bay you t
t'
I then opened my rear door (tinted windows may have confused her slightly) and grabbed my little brother out the back, and then my girlfriend got the other (twins)...
She was still there, muttering to herself, and she then said, they cant be your kids! (I was only 19 and the boys are 5 lol)
'Yes, there my little brothers'
'Well then your not the parent so you shouldn't park here'
Silly cow, We just walked off at that point, she was clearly wrong but wouldn't back down!
