Gary,

Which one did you get - spec/age/coupe or conv etc. Was it from a Jag main dealer?

I'm seriously thinking about buying one so would be interested in hearing yourt opinion on steering/ handling of the XKR.

I have a 00 XKR convertible , its a great car fantastic mid range performance , to me the steering is a bit vague and you are left in no doubt about the weight of the car , but when you do push it in the bends it actually handles a lot better than you would think , mine has been lowered and i think stiffened by the first owner which will of course make a difference .

Rear tyre wear is the only problem but then that is to be expected , but low cost serviceing makes up for that

You should end up at around 19mpg in the end with a mix of town and motorway driving

Try www.jag-lovers.org/ i used to have an XK8 and found the site to be very good.

You got a great price, to think that they are made in coventry and shipped to Germany where they are around 10k cheaper ......

Spice,

Answers to your question:

Jaguar Car Club.
www.j-c-c.org.uk

Jaguar Drivers Club.
www.jaguardriver.co.uk

I find it hard to read your messages - could you try using lower case letters (not capital letters), like everyone else. Thanks!

Interesting that htere appears to be a few jag people on this site. Does anyone think it would be worth petitioning Mr Ted for a Jaguar forum to be added?

These forums have been extremely helpful with regard to my TVR ownership. Surely there must be helpful/knowledgeable Jag people out there who would like to join in. (so I can bug them for free advice )

What say the rest of you?

nice to see some jag people on here too, dont own one, but do get to drive them a bit, one of the advantages of working for them.

Very nice cars, i love em, specially the XK's, although i have to say the aniversary alloys are nicer than the detroits IMHO, but 20" is the way forward

Fuel economy is not so hot, but then with a 370bhp 4.0L V8, what do you expect
