What an excellent intro into Ferraris for someone, it looks ace, if I had the required disposable I would indeed be very tempted, simply as Ive always liked the GT4- no idea if id actualy fit in one in the real world tho as I don't fit into 328's.

Is the 208 still a V8? I know they did some odd stuff for the Italian market & its 2 Litre tax break, inc I belive turbo'd 308s, were they still V8's too?

So you selling to move up the Ferrari ladder?

I'm sad to say that it looks like I may be departing the Ferrari fold

I injured my left foot many years ago, and have driven Autos since then due to it being too painful to drive a manual car on a regular basis.

Since getting the Ferrari, this problem has been getting worse. I survived last summer thanks to the car being off the road for 3 months having the engine and gearbox work done. Now that the nice weather has arrived, I've started to use it a lot more often, and this is making the problem worse. Paradoxically, the pain only comes when I'm walking, but it's brought on by the driving. I've been to see a doctor, although he said there was nothing that could be done.

So unless anyone knows a good podiatrist, it looks like I am going to have to sell it and either buy a 400/412 Auto, or more likely revert to my former love...a Porsche 928 (which would also have a bit more Bruntingthorpe Cred!)

It's a shame, because since it's major works, the 208 has been dead reliable, and my employment prospects - which had been looking a bit shaky - have now resolved themselves to my satisfaction.

P.S. yes it a 2 litre V8.

But not turbo'd like the 208 GTB and GTS were.

It's no longer For Sale.

Have decided that quality of life would be best served by giving up walking, rather than giving up the 208!

Plus, my new job is within cycling distance, so I am getting my exercise that way, rather than walking to the shops at lunchtime...which was the main cause of foot pain as it turned out.

Good man Danhay, when all else fails, sacrifice everything for the car.

Danhay, top fella ! I like a man with priorities set right

I can sympathise though ... I bust my left knee hardcore mountain biking a few years back, it's never been right since and is getting slowly worse. I can see sooner or later I'm going to have to go for an automatic daily driver, because being stuck in rush hour traffic is murder after the first few minutes (clutch on, clutch off, repeat x 1000's)

But there's no way in HELL I'd give up the 308 I'd press the clutch with a stick before I did that !
