General health check, blood test and MOT

I need a service. I've had a ridiculous christmas of excess food and drink and I feel st.

I've gained around half a stone and that puts me 20lbs overweight.

Can anyone recommend a good private quack? I don't have BUPA and live near Sheffield.

Were you ok before Christmas? Go for a swim twice a week and eat sensibly, if you still feel crap in a month then it might be worth bothering the doc!

Depends what you want checking, just tell your GP you're worried that you're overweight and you want to make sure you nip high blood pressure in the bud. They'll check your blood pressure. What blood tests do you want doing? They'll certainly check your cholesterol if you say you are worried about it. Other than that, what are you worried about?

Yes, that's what they do. I'm not medically qualified so perhaps others can pitch in, but a GP or practice nurse will check your BP, cholesterol, blood sugar; height and weight etc.

At the other end of the scale you can have the full works at a BUPA facility. You can pay as a one off, you don't have to be a member.
