Nipped around sisters at weekend. Previous day she had reversed into her husbands bike. Mirror broken off, bit of fairing cracked and scuff on silencer.

Husband was very calm saying 'oh well, what's done is done'.

I think I would have been wearing her skin, like the guy in 'Silence of the Lambs'.

Karen did my Scooby. Not deliberate.
Bent metal / plastic can be fixed but relationships can be much harder....

next door neighbour reversed into mine. I knew it would happen eventualy as she'd taken out several wheelie bins and hit the curb every time she reveresed all four corners of her husbands (imaculate before ) car were dented.

I was suprisingly calm. I knew exactly what she had done when I saw her walk to the front door.

My ex-husband & I were riding our bikes thru a seaside town mid summer..... I was in front & lights turned red @ the approaching junction..... I glance in my mirror, to see that his head is turned fully sideways watching some young thing tottering along the seafront!! all I could do was sit & wait for the impact!! lol

I found it too funny to be cross

the my ex-husband statement speaks volumes now!

If my girlfriend reversed into my bike, id probably have the same attitude, provided she intended to put it right! Id be more worried about how upset she would undoubtedly be - shes a new driver and that kind of thing would seriously knock her confidence.

I had someone go into the back of me at a roundabout in the rushhour. I was on the bike and there was a woman in a Fiesta behind, I edged forward and stopped when I felt a shove from behind. The only damage was her numberplate shattering into about 5 or 6 bits on my back wheel. I put the bike on the sidestand, got off and picked up the pieces of her plate and passed them back through the window to her saying " You may need these love" Her face was a picture. Rode of chuckling to myself.

I suppose he knows she regrets it, so why make her feel bad about it?

After all, bikes are replaceable for just a few pounds, wives aren't.

Last year a mate went into the back of me whilst out on a rideout. I saw a junction that I needed, fairly late on and I indicated and braked at the same time. Then crunch.

However, a few months later I spun his car whilst he was in it(due to a punctured rear right tyre, I promise) and mashed the rear left of it....and he laughed.

It's swings and roundabouts really.

Couple of quickies for you...

A few years ago, my wife (and mother of new child!) whilst arranging "must do lunch" with a friend on her mobile phone, whilst walking out to her car (an Audi Allroader) - reversed into my very new and very shiney (bright yellow - for Christ's sake!) Triumph Daytona (still on the phone) - blaming me for leaving it 6 feet behind her car. I didn't even raise my voice - but the following day, the poor bloke at the insurance company got both barrels, but also saw the funny side.....And I did claim off her.

But to be fair - I did meet her when I reversed my car straight into her about 10 years earlier!
