I've damaged my knob
Discussion
The temperature control knob on my Bosch fan oven has just gone "clunk" and now spins freely and doesn't do anything any more. I've just had to switch the whole oven off at the mains.
The knob is engaging the spindle, so it is the actual rotary switch unit that has broken.
Any ideas how I might fix it? Would it be a service part I could order from Bosch and swap out?

Ordered some stuff from them before. Good service.
Not sure exactly what you need, but might be worth a look.

you will find that it has probably melted. also check that the glass cover for the oven light is intact as it would be a path for heat to leak to the switch.
I'd be surprised. It's a double oven and whilst I use the lower oven almost every night I rarely use the upper one. Edit: Obviously it's the selector for the lower oven that has broken.
