Anyone had the same problem?

On December 3rd ordered a Stainless dash from a well know North Yorkshire dealer for a Chriistmmas present was told only 1 in stock would despatch it for me asap took my money next day, waited 10 days no dash rang and was told it was wrapped ready to go, i said it was a present i needed it quickly was told it would be sent not to worry, guess what after 15 phone calls given various tracking no's that dont exist still no dash was told to ring on 21st Dec closed for holiday so no dash no money no present. Pistonheads allow these people to advertise has anyone else had the same problems if so pistonheads should do something about them advertising on here.

As has already been said, you think PH have some responsibility? How would that be the case?

Doesn't sound like very good service, especially if they promised to get it you by Xmas. Certain companies have had issues with their shipping companies due to the recent weather but they should have been able to tell you this. There are Distance Selling Regs that govern what's right and what is not but you may find that sellers have up to 28 days to deliver unless they promise (or you pay for) a better service. You probably want to talk to OFT rather than PH though!

You are always within your rights to cancel the order and either refuse delivery or send it back if it ever arrives and get a full refund. You could then just drive the few miles from Leicester to PPC in Melton and get a Leven one

Thanks for your replies the company that sells these items repeatedly gave me the run around rang numerous times the lady lthat dealt with it was supposedly not there got someone else to ring and she answered the phone i paid for quick delivery and was then told they needed a batch before sending all in all a run up the garden path. I paid by card so i will get mymoney back after 30 days, but still a person disapointed with no christmas present, i asked if anyone had had anysimilar experiences not just now but at any other time surely people should not be allowed to trade on pistonheads if they give such bad service, i did ring ppc but they did not have a price and i could have collected it from them.

i know PPC were still sorting out the prices and stock for certain items recently. They have a few dashboards in stock. I believe the prices are £127.66 +VAT for Chim and Griff dashes and £102.13 +VAT for Cerb.

I had a load of grief when I ordered one for my Chim earlier this year. Was told it would be straight in the post and after countless calls saying they were nearly ready, just need packaging or the person I need to speak to wasn't available, I gave up when a used Leven one came up on PH. Thankfully they never debited my account but was very annoying being given the run around when they could have just been honest.
