DIY BOXSTER SERVICING
Discussion
My 98 Boxster is due for a yearly service, not too bad at around £130 from a OPC, but when I went to book it in they said that my car had not had the sparkplugs changed since new (it has only done 13500 miles).
They then informed me that it would be an extra £170 for a sparkplug change !!! are they mad ??
i priced the Bosch plugs for the Bosxter at £5 each, so I was going to do it myself.
Do you take them out from underneath the car ?? and how easy is it ??
Any comments/experience of doing it would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
SP
Going to a specialist rather than an OPC for non-service work shouldn't alter the resale value.
However if you take your car to a non OPC for a service, then need to sale/part-ex it later at an OPC they'll give you a lower price. I think OPC used car criteria states they must have a full OPC service history.
