Canvas size and resolution

I'd like to get a fairly large canvas print of this:


Not sure how big I should go, though. The original is 10MP and pretty sharp at full size.

What's the biggest I could get without obvious pixelation, etc.

When you upload your image and then choose the size of your canvas it gives you an indication of the maximum size without interpolation.

xrrr & matt - both sites suggest I can print bigger than the biggest size they offer without interpolation. Which is good because I don't need it any bigger than that .

Simpo - do you mean the buoys and things in the water? They've been cloned out of the image I use for prints!

Looks level to me on that size on screen - the left hand side is curved coast so will/should never look completely level.

You could almost be right except the poles on the oil rig, which I presume are vertical, are leaning to the left. It just looks wrong IMHO, and I'm Captain Horizontal from the Planet Level... Tap in 1 degree CW and see it magically improve

Printingon canvas means yu dont realy need that much resolution , it hides detail (or lack of), I've printed 8mp at A0 and they look great.

I'm also printing 8mp at A1 on glossy photo and so long as you step back they look fine.

Kinda worried about the 1800px square one but that'll be 22" a side so not too bad.

I've printed a 10mp image 52" wide on canvas before.

I ended up going with Tim at Fluid Images for a 44x29 inch print. The canvas arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I have just finished removing all the bubble-wrap .
If a nuclear war broke out as my canvas was in transit, the only survivors would be cockroaches... And my canvas.
Next time I'm moving house I'll just wrap Tim's packaging around the house.
Etc.

The print itself - fantastic . Lovely colours, nice and sharp... Exactly what I was after!

Excuse the dodgy lighting which really doesn't show it properly - it looks a lot nicer in real life :

Oh and to Simpo the horizon nazi - The photo in my photo is hanging level and the photo of my photo is shot level. It doesn't look it, but that's lens distortion.

And I adjusted the photo for the canvas by matching features with their reflections -

Couldn't you get it over the middle of the fireplace though?

That's almost a brilliant idea I hadn't thought of - but it will be affected by lens distortion too
