Roof box advice

I'm in need of a roofbox, and a bit of advice.
I've got a Cayenne and want to open the boot whilst the box is on there. Most of the boxes I like the look of are about 190 / 195 in length, yet as the roof area I have is about 150 it would overhang the front quite a lot.
What's the idea? Are they supposed to hang over the rear and the compromise is you can't open the boot and that's just how it is? Can you get some which are angled to allow the boot to open, do you have a bit overhanging the front & back... or is it as simple as I get a much smaller one?
Kinda hoping for a clever answer that I haven't yet found!
