Windscreen Nil - Crack 1

The winter has finally defeated the windscreen of my Golf Gti 16v and a crack only slightly smaller than the Grand Canyon is now laughing at me. I will get it replaced on insurance but with it being just a tad chilly is it worth waiting until it warms up a bit or are the fitters/glue/seals able to work as well in the cold?

I appeal to the greater knowledge of the PH massive!

I was at an autoglass depot yesterday and they were fitting screens ok, Fitting outside may be a bit of a problem though?
