Weighing The Car Down

My girlfriend's dad mentioned that she could do with some weight in the back of her car during this cold spell due to it being light weight and RWD. She put the weights in her boot the day after. This was 2 weeks ago. I congratulated her on taking it on herself and sorting it out instead of getting somebody else to do it. Consequently, she has said over the past 2 weeks how much the car has improved in the snow and ice.

Anyway, last night I asked her where the pile of 4 or 5 glossy magazines had gone off the coffee table.

And no, I'm not lying...

Nice one.

Last winter I put a couple of bags of builders hardcore in the boot of my e30. the weight over the rear wheels helped with traction, and if it was really needed I could dip into the bags and chuck some of the hardcore down on the road under the tyres.

Unfortunately the boot had since been emptied for other purposes over the summer, so I've got to fishtail my way up the road to get some more.
