There is nothing in the press gumpfh about a Diesel AWD but I would expect one to come soon, unless they are expecting Qashqai to take the Diesel AWD sales.
It would seem a logical step to me, I have emailed nissan head office to ask. Probably pointless asking dealers!insanojackson said:

Until it gets off the boat??? which boat would that be from about 15 miles away from me in Sunderland??
You know what I mean, Nissan UK are crap at knowing what is coming. When I worked for one of their dealers, geting information out of them was like geting blood from a stone.insanojackson said:

The petrol turbo AWD is built in Japan.
seems they are, my error!!I was in a similar quandry - ideally I was looking for a diesel, manual AWD so one out of three wasn't bad!
Sales guy at local dealer did say once the 4WD ones were built in Sunderland (some point next year - cant remember when), the range might expand, and things like colours etc are standardised. Might just have been sales talk though, although being in Milton Keynes, he might have inside knowledge from the Nissan Development Centre (or whatever its called) just up the road in Cranfield, where the Juke was part developed.
I would be seriously tempted by a manual, 4WD petrol Turbo one. Trying to justify if I buy a 2WD one now, will I will forever want the 4WD?

cyder, ? are you in the know?? fill me in if you are
No, no idea about their future - I'd have thought a diesel AWD would have appealed to be honest so who knows. They are selling like hot cakes apparently so I'm fairly sure they'll expand the range once they've seen the reaction to it I guess. As for the AWD/4x4 bit, someone made an interesting post a while back which puts in a nutshell what the AWD/4x4 is on the Juke -
"The AWD version has two AWD settings. The "AWD" setting distributes torque evenly to all wheels (25% to each) and when slippage occurs the car diverts torque to wheels getting more grip. It will not divert all power off of a slipping wheel, nor will it apply the brakes to a slipping wheel. With traction control off it should spin all four tires as much as you'd like.
Juke also has a torque vectored AWD setting (AWD-V). This setting allows for better maneuvering on pavement by allowing 100% of rear torque (50% of total torque) to be put on the outside rear wheel in a turn. AWD-V isn't meant for snow and AWD isn't meant for the streets.
The Juke distributes torque via electronically controlled wet-clutch packs on the rear axle and not with viscous couplings. The Juke's AWD is generally much better than the one's that come in most cars, who's AWD systems are often mislabeled or poorly described. The Juke's AWD is more similar to S-AWC or Haldex systems."
Pretty much like the GTR system from what I understand.
