I did I'm afraid to say. I live in a small village on a hill and came home as soon as the snow got heavy yesterday. I've previously driven up this hill in all sorts of conditions but yesterday it beat me. Fortunately, a jolly nice chap in a Ford Explorer offered to tow me home despite being late for his daughters birthday party.
I stayed at home today!

No snow here this week but 2 weeks ago I kept getting stuck getting on and off the drive. Its soul destroying to complete a journey and fall at the final hurdle. Even worse knowing that despite being yards from home and on a residential street, your on your own and have to help yourself.
Ashamed to say that the Passat got stuck up the very icy hill to my house. I tried 5 times to get it home, but, alas, it wouldn't do it, even after trying a variety of techniques. So it lives at the carpark at the Tesco Express at the bottom of the hill. It probably get home until I can find some grit, or it thaws...

Just drove from Southampton to Milton Keynes with no problem till I got to my cul-de-sac, the car just din't want to go up the very slight incline. Its now parked on the side of the road and doesn't want to move, I hope sthe snow thaws on by Thursday.
Thats where I'm stuck. MK, not your cul de sac.Not me, but I've been towing people who have.
Wifey's ML hasn't moved since the latest snow fell. The previous snowfall showed us what a liability it was on its standard tyres so we've left it on the drive.
The diesel will probably have turned to wax by now anyway (-11 last night and getting properly cold again already).
