PH'ers Winter Rescue Resource
Just wondered if it'd be worth putting a wiki up for fellow PH'ers to refer to, should someone have an embarrasing moment with a local ditch/hedge/snowdrift/dire need to get to the shops for some fags/airport etc.
There's a few of us on here with suitably equipped 4x4's etc & like myself would be more than happy for an excuse to go out for a play & do something useful. Spent much of the week assisting various strandees, mishaps'ers & of course many BMW drivers
for which many were very grateful.
If it seems like a good idea post away, not sure how the wiki thingamyjig works

Cptsideways: N Dorset, Wilts, A303 area - Big Landcruiser winter equpped & a trailer if required
agent006: Cheltenham and Cotswolds - Shogun
Zulu 10: Triangle between Andover, Basingtoke and Winchester - Discovery on winter tyres, tow bar plus possible use of trailer
Big Rod: Dunfermline, Fife and Dorking, Surrey. Old shogun with a towbar and a rope. Will be in Fife until just after Christmas then in Bucks, (probably!), then Fife over New Year then Dorking from the 4th Jan. Any request would have to work around my actual paid work schedule, but I'd be happy to help where I can. (Admirable idea OP!) (And how do I add my profile to the wiki list if I have to at all?)
Marcellus: Daventry, Towcester, Northampton. Land Rover Defender with full snow kit and proper tow ropes.
edo: Haslemere, Quattro Audi with winter tyres. No towing, no big groups (of more than 1), but single dash somewhere if you need it!
texasjohn: South Derbyshire/Leics border. 118d, RE050 Potenza Summer Runflats, Shovel, flask of tea, GSOH.
SystemParanoia: Birmingham / W.mids Suzuki vitara on knobblies, rope, shovel, camera
LHD: Edinburgh - Various Land Rovers. Will tow for sugary tea.
plg: Skipton/Ilkley/Dales - quattro with winter tyres, light towing, happy to recover poeple to station, etc
Buggles: Pickering/Whitby/NY Moors - Land Rover Defender, AT Tyres, tow rope, shovel, it's a 110 so lots of seats.
mad dog1968: hull/east yorkshire - Land Rover 90, AT tyres, tow rope & 10m tow strap, shovel, 12000lb warn winch & 150ft of plasma rope happy to help pistonheaders caught out
