fuel filter sdvice please

hi all

while the car is on axle stands i thought i may as well change the fuel filter
can someone confirm that this ia a ford sierra 2.9l part which i think i can get this from a local motor factor
is it part no efg 32 ?

is this straight forward in changing over anything i should be aware of ?

i noticed in the steve heath book mention of a fuel anti surge pot to change i cant get any info on this what and where is it ?

Hi Keith
Yes that's the correct part number.

Pretty straightforward to change. Remember that the system is under pressure ~ which you can release with the valve thingy by the fuel rail. Don't forget to disconnect battery ( no sparks !)

Just make sure that everything is very tight when you put it back together.
The system will repressurise once the ignition is turned on afterwards.

I wouldn't worry about the fuel anti surge pot.

But heres a pic of the fuel swirl pot - basically a can added to the bottom of the tank so fuel cant slosh away from take off pipe in hard cornering
