You're 21, and you're spending that much on a car? Do you already own a house, or have some other good form of investment income? If not I'd spend maybe £10k of it on car + insurance, and put the rest of the money to work - you have an opportunity to establish yourself as a very wealthy person from a starting point like that.

Well you'd obviously need a specialist, but personally I'd say that 10k would be damned good value if you could find it for that. I'd probably start off by asking Lamborghini.

It must be possible, as there are many footballists of that age driving similar metal.

I call troll however.

Anyone notice the lack of beemers and general rwd cars about today? I was out in mine (328) but everyone was looking at me like i was mad. I even made it up a bank redface. had the car since i was 19 so just over two years now just cant help but use it.
Do us a favour and hang about on a street corner or at the park. Leave PH to those who a) want to talk cars and b) are old enough to drive them.

I remember reading somewhere that one of the footballers was paying around £22k to insure his Ferrari that he had at the time.

My advice is: don't.

Buy something fun but insurable; maybe even a classic. Plenty of fun to be had in lots of other cars.

Have epic number of track days and professional coaching with an instructor.

Buy a track beast. Or compete in a series (MX5, Caterham Academy) for fun and kudos of being a genuine race driver instead of a ponce in an uninsurable lambo that you will crash... AND still have 80k left towards a house.

Not bad really, when you consider it's a week's wages.

It cost me a week's wages to insure my Elise (but I am a bit older).

If I owned and insurance company I'd quota about £150k per year insurance so I break even when paying out for an inevitable wrote off lambo and the third parties car.
