Something interesting happened.......
Discussion
....on the way home last night.
I was happily pootling along at a safe distance from the car in front. It had been raining all day and driving a 30 zone through the centre of a village. When the car in front just stopped dead. I checked my mirrors and stopped behind it. Checked my mirrors again, signaled and started to drive past. The driver of the other car blasted his horn so I pulled up along side to see if there was a problem. The driver of the other car shouted....
"Can't you see there's an
Ambulance behind us you
?"
I looked back to see a garden illuminated with flashing blue L.E.D festive lights and politely suggested he should look again. The driver did and apologised and we continued out journeys.
I nearly shouted "It's not an Ambwilans it's fairy lights you 'tard" but missed the chance.
Would have made an interesting accident. Driver "A" was distracted by festive decorative lights in a garden, performed an emergency stop and was struck by a vehicle "B" from behind (assuming drive "B" is a bit closer than I was). Who'd be to blame? Driver "A" for making an uneccessary emergency stop and not checking his mirrors properly, driver "B" for not being able to avoid driver "A" or the owners/tennants/squaters of the Chav pallace making their garden look like Santas Ghetto?

Driver B would be at fault if they couldn't react and stop in time. The reason for A's emergency stop is immaterial.
I don't know which is the saddest. Driver 'A', the OP for bothering to start a thread or you for taking it seriously.Or me for bothering to read this far.
