There I was thinking that they finished the franchise with the last one:

Looks cheese-a-licous.

I'll probably give it a watch.

Hopefully it will be watchable crap with a healthy dose of cheese.

Interesting.

Has the Rock wrestler dude in it.
Appears to have all the main characters in it from the previous 4 films (except the Tokoyo chap)
Appears to include the Japenese fella who died in number 3 (prequel or sequel?)
Appears to be more action flick than street racing flick.

The last movie was set before the 3rd movie, a prequel to the second sequel if you will.

I beleive this one must fit in just before the third film as it has the two guys from the second film and also Han from the third, must be set after number 4 aswell I think due to Vin Diesel and Paul Walker together.

I wonder if there is another film series that has jumped around so much? Strange though it is set before the 3rd film yet has a GTR in it?

Yes, extremely bad form to show new cars when they don't fit in with the incredibly drafted and important storyline!

Honestly, when it's this cheesy, who gives a crap about continuity?

Exactly.

Anyone who tries to apply logic and the indeed the laws of the known universe, to the Fast and Furious series really shouldn't be watching them.

I think when rememebering these films it is easier just to forget that Tokyo Drift actually exists, it's more pleasant that way too as it was, IMO, absolute ste that was basically the plot from Karate Kid, but with cars.

I think that's what the producers are hoping. (And I'm totally with them)

New trailer looks good, not trying to be clever or different, just lots of action and cars.

If you want to attempt to rationalise it (really?) Tokyo Drift takes place after all of the other films (including any that have yet to be made).

I prefer it my way, where TD doesnt exist at all, same as Highlander 2, 3 and 4 and the tv series.

I didn't know this film was going to exist until I spotted an advert for it here on PH.

I have just watched the trailer. Even the lovely Paul Walker is not a good enough reason for me to tolerate the film.

I thought the last one was ok (a little less dumb than the others) and it should have been the last one.

I want them to make a prepreprequel, where Vin has hair, and Paul Walker is still in high school picking on the ADHD kid from the first film.

Seen one trailer with Han driving a Lexus LFA. I don't mind though it should be pretty good.
