Knees hurting a lot after "shrugs" at the gym..
Discussion
I've started a new workout at the gym, and since starting i've noticed that the day following that i work my shoulders, not only to my shoulders hurt but my knees do too.
When i was at the gym yesterday i tried to monitor my technique in the mirror and it seemed as i was doing right, but i could feel my knees were under stress and were beginning to hurt then.
This morning and throughout today when i'm sat and get up i can feel my knees are not overly soar but just feel weird.. As if they are numb?!
Does anyone have any idea what is happening? I used to get soar knees when doing football/kickboxing when i was about 12/13 so stopped playing because of this, but have never had a problem since.
I'm 18 by the way, slim build 6ft 1 and about 11stone 10.
thanks in advance
Danny

Do you already work your legs?
I'm thinking that if you don't work your legs, and this is the first time you've started shrugs - your legs might simply be unaccustomed to bearing the extra weight. Although, your legs shouldn't really be bearing most of the weight - that's the job of your traps / shoulders.
Although, it does sound to me like you've got a recurring issue with your knees that's probably not directly linked to the shrugs.
