yep have cold thanks to PITA mother fker in the desk in front of me that doesnt understand to fk off home when it sounds like you are dying and to cover you fking mouth too... good job there is a partition in the way otherwise he would have been punched by now.

As such im on the nose spray to stop it running, painkillers for the headache and lack of sleep and throat spray to numb the throat enough so I dont cough... But all the drinking in the last week and for the next 2 is hindering my recovery... damn xmas parties.

I'm not biggrin I'm suffering from full blown flu instead frown I've never had the flu before, so the experience is "interesting", and not in a good way.

For starters, it came on quick - VERY quick. I woke up at 4am on Monday morning, with a migraine, sickness, diarhorea, the worst fever and chills I've ever known. I couldn't actually get back to sleep, I felt that ill.

The last two days, I've felt all of those symptoms, but to top it off, I have zero appetite, dehydration that rivals any night out in the town I've had (can't keep the water down half the time), a painful chesty cough and I have never known tiredness like it.

Absolutely awful. I've just been on the symptom checker on the NHS site and I have every single symptom! Just hope it ends soon. I thought I'd had flu before, but now know that I didnt.

Ahhhh, my thread has arrived at last. Yep, i have had a cold since the end of september. Not the same one, but i live in a house with someone who doesnt care that i have a very low immune system, and so coughs and sneezes all over the place, doesnt clean their hands, and so i catch every fking germ this piece of st has. I wouldnt mind, but this thing is the carrier, so it never gets ill, just passes it onto me. I am fortunate in that i am not working at the minute, because thanks to this inbred piece of st, i have had to spend about 2 weeks in bed trying to shake the damn things off, including most of last week. When i mention about it, does it care? Nope, as long as it gets what it wants when it wants it, this person doesnt give a flying fk about anyone else.

I may have to take an adjustable to this pile of st before long, especially if i get rid of the current cold, and they pass on another one

I start one or two colds a year, but they dont stick , usually i can shrug them off within a day or two (used to get week long horrible stinkers).
I've been taking cod liver oil capsules and vitamin c tablets (and red wine hehe) , every night for the past five or six years , pretty much the length of time since i've had a proper cold.

Cant be certain its's the vit c and cod liver oil , but i can't think of any other reason for this resiliance scratchchin.

Yep, that's flu all right and you have my sympathy. Not a lot you can do (or feel like doing) apart from staying in bed. It will go. It makes me laugh when people you see in public say they have flu. With real flu you can't get out of bed. No way.

All the best...

Had bout 7 colds this year. Has to be my life record.

Think its a combo of being pretty run down this year and getting on the scummy underground every day

Cheers smile I seem to be on the mend now, my appetite is slowly returning, the fever has gone, I've stopped being sick and the headache is gone. I now feel like I have bad cold. The cough is still there, and it hurts every time I do it, and the aching muscles are still there. I can at least move around a little now without falling asleep! I'd still probably lose an arm wrestle with an anorexic at the moment! I'm just glad I can eat again smile
