have played these on my PSP for a while but having just got a PS3 for GT5 I fancy seeing what they look like on the large screen.

Not bothered about the latest version of either series right now but I am interested in which were the 1st versions specifically designed for the PS3 as opposed to cross platform with PS2, so that I get max benefit of the console.

So, any suggestions for downloadable versions?

cheers, PV

First proper next-gen version of Call of Duty was Modern Warfare (CoD 4) - first MoH game is the one that's out now, set in the modern day.

I like 'em both - both campaigns are good with a reasonable amount of depth and innovation.

opponent AI I would say is slightly better in MOH but teh real difference is online. MOH "tends" to be slightly less brutal if you're a casual gamer and the 5 stage battle multiplayers are excellent - not sure if there is something comparable on COD.

Online weapons and upgrades are pretty formulaic but you can purchse new maps.

COD online though is the daddy - mix and match weapons, upgrades, challenges and as I have discovered there is a "beginners" online environment which saves you the frustration of respawning every 5 seconds if you're erubbish like me!

the new cod points feature I think is excellent and I'm really getting into it tbh....

all in all go for Black Ops!

World at War was the first next gen - MW was basically the same game engine with new scenario's/time periods.
