I thought you were joking until I found this:-

Hillstart assist automatically maintains the vehicle in position for a short period (up to two seconds after the brake is released), so that the driver has the time to calmly move a foot from the brake to the accelerator, without the vehicle moving forwards or backwards. This function is active from a gradient of 5% (forward uphill or backward downhill.

New one on me, what's wrong in putting the handbrake on, and releasing when the clutch bites, do hope you find the switch, maybe a fuse could be taken out.

another complicated solution for a problem that doesn't exist!

if people cant manage a hill start they shouldn't be driving!

Volvo trucks have it, but it only activates when the vehicle is in gear, maybe after you have pulled out, you put it back in neutral, it may roll back.

The trucks have an on/off switch as well.

Had this on a Peugeot RCZ and also back in the olden days, a subaru imprezza hatch.

More help for people who cannot operate a car safely.

unfortunatly due to the incline in the slope and this distance i have to park in relation a rolling start to the top wouldnt be possible i have got it down to a tee that as i approach the road i have to pull on the handbrake and not use the actualy brake ryt pain every time though

and yes this is just another driver aid to help those that are ot able to drive in the first place perform the simplist of tasks

I read you could pass your normal driving test in a car with it equipped, what a cheat!

I used to have a Subaru Forester with it and my current Range Rover has it. I quite like it, it's not necessary but it's a useful little extra. Not sure you can switch it off though.

Not sure what you mean, are you saying you need this function due to the incline, or not?
