Body rubbers.

No, not the American equivalent...

The chassis / body mount points are padded with rubber strips about 5mm thick and shaped to go across the web sections on the chassis tubes. I expect these can be manufactured at home given the right material. Anyone know what the best stuff for this job is?

Also, I've built a cracking (IMHO) little framework to move the body shell about on. Wood on castors. If anyone is interested I'll post the pictures and plans on here.

I have just used electricians insulating mat out of a meter cupboard at work . It was a bit think but a grinder sorted that , some needed more than others , I just used car mat rubber on the top oh the trans tunnel etc.

I was going to ask the same thing! I reckon these tiles will be too hard and too thick, probably car mat would be better. Let's keep looking....

Be sure to get something that won't perrish, Neoprene is what I will go for when I get to it.
A company in Keighley called Dobsons Gaskets (Oil pipeline guys) can supply.

I found different thickness rubbers on mine.
