The Mondial T is a completely different beastie than the other Mondials that preceded it. Ferrari replaced the old 308 family transverse engine with the new longtitudinal engine, developments of which now power the 360. This is mounted several inches lower than in earlier models and with a dry sump there is a huge benefit for handling. Every external panel was replaced for a far more rounded look and the new interior was nicer and more spacious. The side intake vents are far smaller. The T is a thoroughly modern Ferrari so it is galvanised and doesn't rust, it has electronic dampers, power steering and ABS. It is technically closest to the 348 but with less nervous handling because of the longer wheelbase.
The small back seats fold down to form a luggage platform with straps that supplement the front and rear boots. This makes the T vastly more practical than any berlinetta with hardly any sacrifice in sporting abilities.
On the rolling road mine gives exactly 300 flywheel BHP and it sounds manificent through it's Tubi exhaust.

A guy came to buy a strimmer from me on Sunday and turned up in a blue T cab with Porsche style Sportomatic gearbox. Apparently ony 15 were made with this (in my experience with Porsche's version - that'd be 15 too many!)
In the flesh IMHO it looks like an aircraft carrier - huge rear deck and surprisingly wide. Also very square. His car had been owned by the McApline family and had only covered 15k miles in its 10 year history. He bought it via the guy who owns Finlay Gorham for £25k.
It was also bubbling in the centre of the trailing edge of the bonnet, just where you'd push down to close it - so much for galvanising.
