Want a new compact but which one?

I want to buy a new compact(smaller the better) as my trusty Panasonic has been dropped once to often now and the shutter won't open when turned on.I don't really know what's on the market these days so need advice.

Our needs are very simple,small,light,don't worry about functions as we just really need point and shoot(a bit like ia on the Panasonic).
Haven't really thought of budget so I suppose there isn't one.

Stick with a Panasonic. Very good cameras.

Listen here smart arse,With the recent reliability of the search function,or lack of,searching wasn't an option because it didn't bloody work.
Any way I've opted for a Lumix DMC-FT2
