People parking in private parking space (block of flats)
Discussion
Hi,
I live in a block of flats in a gated development in which some flats have an allocated parkig space and others do not. My flat has an allocated parking space.
Every now and again I get some random person parking in my space which often leaves me with nowhere to park and last time resulted in £250 of damage in my car due to having to leave it parked on the street.
So I come home today and someone has parked in my space again.... argh....
For now I have just blocked them in (and my neighbour too but I've let him know and he'll give me a shout if he needs to move his car).... but is there anything else I can do??
I'm guessing as its a private block of flats the council/ police aren't going to be interested in towing the car away (if they are who do I call??).
Thanks!

(that's not me in the pic by the way, despite the car being the same as mine...)

The management company did try to be fair, they sent a letter to all residents in the development stating which spaces are allocated parking and which are free to use for visitors and those without an allocated space. The letter also said there would be fines for repeat offenders.... Doesn't seem to have made much difference to anyone.
I'm very tempted to buy one of those posts and install it while the inconsiderate muppet's car is still parked there and then just leave him blocked in all weekend.

When people have to go to the trouble of pumping up their tyres again every time they park in your space, they'll soon get the message...

Ah yes the old favourite. Box of matches.

Too damaging for the environment, and ties up a fire appliance that might be needed at a proper emergency.

Take one match for each wheel. Remove dustcap jam match in valve move to next wheel repeat till all 4 are done and walk away.

Trolly jacks under the front and back. Drag it into the middle of the road.
Best suggestion. Then ring police to report an abandoned car.
Will cost them a fortune to get it back.

That barrier post behind the space is the best option by a country mile, if you ask me - it also makes your car far less nickable!
