Apparently the WC would have boosted our economy by £3.2b.

The current snow is costing us £1.2b /day.

The royal wedding will bring in £600m+

BUT because of the extra bank holiday it has caused, it will set us back £5b.

I've just had a sausage and tomato sandwich, with brown sauce. It cost me £2.20, delivered to my desk.

100% accurate figures. Don't know about any of the more complex stuff you mention though. HTH. biggrin

You're seriously asking whether economists know what they are talking about and whether what they spout is little more than a wild guess?
