Opinions?

Expensive bottle, but I really enjoyed Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve and im a big fan of regular Jack Daniels. I drink both with mixer and neat.

Im thinking save the regular Jack for drinking with coke, and buying the Single Barrell for the drinking neat over time.

Luke.

Each to their own. But I think JD is a God awful drink.

i dont particularly like bourbon but JDSB is good. It bears no resemblance to normal JD

I'd do exactly what you suggest.

Also try Pepsi Raw with your JD, you can taste the JD better.

Indeed the JDSB has no resemblance to the normal pub stuff. Definitely up there with Knob Creek\Makers Mark.

IMO, its good, but not really worth the money. Nice to try it though.

Keep in mind it is exactly what it says - JD, just bottled from a single barrel. No older, wiser or more distinguished than any other JD...

Indeed. For that money I'm buying a good malt to be honest.

Definitely prefer JDSB over regular.

Favourite at the moment is 8yr old Wild Turkey.

Rarely mix any bourbon or scotch these days, but don't mind a splash of ginger ale with bourbon. I think it doesn't need the extra sweetness of coke.
