Dealing with port sediment

I've got a decanting funnel with a metal mesh built in, however I'm still finding a fair amount of sediment at the bottom of the decanter.

Would straining it through muslin be the right way to deal with this? If it is, why can't I find any! Supermarkets sell it in the baby section, is this the same stuff?

It needes to be strained through muslin or ideally a new cotton tea cloth

Baby muslin is the same stuff.

Handy to have for straining anything, and also making 'parcels' of spices for mulled wine etc.
