Bit of fun - £1k in my wallet. Most PH car I can get...
Discussion
Pah, I'm bored, bored, bored. The TVR is hibernating in a heated garage with a blanket on him (yes, really!) and will be for a few weeks, apart from a little trip to the upholsterers before christmas
which will only highlight what I'm missing out on!
I've decided I'm not toddling down to the bank this week, so I have some money burning a hole in my pocket. I've decided that this will be spent on something ridiculous to play with.
Don't worry yourself with the boring stuff like insurance (I can cover anything by declaration) or fuel economy. In fact, it would be quite funny to find something that actually throws up single digit economy figures
All it needs is a current MOT, a spot of tax and be in reasonable nick so I won't break it on the first outing.
Up for anything fun, funny, gargantuan, ridiculously powerful, ridiculously awful. Whatever. Let's just have a laugh and see if we can find something

If your brave enough (I wouldn't be)

If you fancy 'drifting' around roundabouts in the snow

Roof down fun in an old school ford? Go on then...
epic fun here:
be a 4x4 snow here for the winter...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1993-JEEP-CHEROKEE-LIMITED-A...

a snip at £500. excellent offroad, 4.0L 200bhp, light for a 4x4. low box, fast, and great handling on roads.
had one before, and without a shadow of a doubt, the most fun/best car I have ever owned!
(edit: actually the only negative is fuel economy. supposed to get 17, more likely 15 or if you are going offroad, around 8-9mpg.)

The MX5 with snow tyres sounds fun.

That is epicly and fantastically ruinous. I love it! But it IS an auto, and as such, doesn't strike me as being much fun
Fun is the name of the game here chaps

At this time of year why not get a V8 Discovery/range rover for a bit of fun, the prices of the V8 had collapsed as everyone wants the TDI versions instead.
I had a 4.6 P38.I still have nightmares

I just thought V8 4x4 would give you the practicality aspect and satisfy your need for a v8 whilst the TVR sleeps ;-)

Spent £4,000 trying unsuccesfully to resolve head issues, coolant leaks and emmissions problems.
Sold it for £2,000 8 weeks later.
Not my finest moment!
