Lee, I don't know how you talked your way into the Turbo so quickly, and I don't expect you will want to tell us !!
Just a little hint maybe??
I bought my 996 because the Turbo waiting list was "at least two years". Bloody lucky if I live that long...

Picked up the car this morning, what a great car alas it will be going at the end of the week to make way for the 996 Turbo
Big deal.
I suppose your Turbo will be going when you will get your Cayenne, won't it?
Hi Thom,
Had a order on the Chayenne to change the Wifes Merc ML but have decided to cancel the order.
Cheers
Lee.

I'm interested. I have a deposit on a facelift Boxster. Should I be ordering the next one now...etc...as I can sell on the previous one at either no or little depreciation...?
Or was this more of an ordering mistake?
Hi Don
18 mths to 2 year wait on the C4S and I was lucky to get this one in 2-3 weeks (don't ask me how) so the plan was to sell it on and get the TT.
Thx
Lee.
Greg, kind thought
But if today was anything to go by it's me for the daisy pushing. It's Spring again - just like it was Spring last year - all the little boxes are out and creeping about.
Met four doing solemn 45, no sign of deviation, so I stuck it in third and floored it. Half way there and something appeared at the end of the straight on a collision course.
Bags of room, but the leading lunatic decided to accelerate like the start of a GP. Juuuust made it! Nothing but praise for the 996, but that's why I wanted the Turbo - every little bit helps an awful lot in these situations.

Do you think it was a 1) misguided attempt to help (i.e. let you pull in behind), 2) totally inobservant driving 3) a deliberate attempt to kill you 4) a total w****er who did not realise the consequences of their actions?
It *sounds* like number three.....Jesus.
I know people can be obnoxious but this scares me! Glad you were OK.
I'll have to tell the missus that we need a Turbo when I replace the Boxster S...for our own safety you understand! (Any opportunity.... )
lee,
yep we will have to meet up at one of the pistonheads gathering. you have owned almost as many cars as I over recent years, lets see 996, Cerby, 7 Series, C36, A class we overlap on a few!
Congrats on the tt, I always have tremendous respect to anybody enthusiastic and brave enough to spend copius amounts on cars! And you are only 22bhp down on my beast...but probably a fair bit more accelerative??
Which silver is the TT i know they do a couple, the one i drove was the polar silver (very slight blue tint)with blue leather and was tremendous.
Hope you are taking it to Le Mans?

C'mon bennno, make the pistonheads 'porsche and pies' meet at The Crazy Bear in Stadhampton on Sunday at 3pm onwards. There are 8 confirmed, plus Lee is thinking of making it as well. Should be on for a dozen interesting cars.
If flasher turns up like he did last time, you can even rib him about his Tamora Palmer Tomkinson. Besides, I think we'd all like to pay homage to the 456!

PS If someone nicks the golf ball from the top of your gear lever, I will get my favourite 8 ball drilled to the correct thread spec for you ;-)
