What games do you go back to, again and again?

Having just finished Black Ops and being somewhat underwhelmed with it and with no other current releasing being of any interest to me, I decided to go raking through my gaming collection to find something I could enjoy again.

And hence I have been blasting my way through Gears of War 2 for the umpteenth time (hardest setting so make repeat playing as challenging as possible) and I've loaded Deus Ex onto my laptop as I haven't had a JC Denton fix in years - enjoying both immensely

So, which games in your collection do you go back to time and again and still enjoy playing?

Settlers 2 - I've lost count how many times I've played it.

ETA Half life. I've completed it quite a few times but I have no desire to play any other FPS shooters.

The original X-Com games, Enemy Unknown and Terror from the Deep.

They're the reason I have DosBox installed on all my PCs.

If I get bored of the current crop of F1 2010, Forza 3, GT5 and Black Ops I'll generally pick up something more retro.

Colin McRae Rally 2 on the PC, V Rally on the PlayStation. Snowboard Kids, Goldeneye or Conker's Bad Fur Day on N64. Just this weekend I was playing Sonic 2 on Mega Drive, and Tetris on my Gameboy Light.

Halo, now playing Halo 1 again with the BiL, still playing Halo 3 online, if we finish Halo together, we'll play halo 2.

As I cannot currently afford a PS3, I'm still playing GT4, I find the most interesting thing to do is start a new game every now and then, because when you have millions in the bank and lots of cars it starts to get really boring.

Day Of Defeat Source for online play. There's a very loyal fanbase and i love the game.

Rome Total War for my strategy kicks. Just the right balance of complexity in the strategy and battle play.

Theme Hospital because, well, its Theme Hospital!

+1 for OpenTTD , its awesome! ;P I think I must love the very ealry days of no money and buses and a few trains between the easiest trade routes. When it gets to planes and monrails and boats to Oil rigs I am not as much of a fan. Reminds me of coming home from school in Yr 9 or Yr 10!

Ahh TTD! I miss that game. I used to love building the most efficient rail systems i could in terms of track usage. It always inevitably went wrong and i'd be dealing with expensive replacements!

I'm also fairly sure i used to screw the AI by parking a train at the end of their stations so they used to crash . The very essense of hostile competition!

Enemy Unknown is amazing! I play that at least once a year, crazy hard and huge.

Also Constructor, Red Alert 1 and Age of Empires 2.
