Pitch black apart from torch - underground

Had the good fortune to visit Drakelow (http://www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/sites/d/drakelow/)near Kidderminster yesterday and took the camera just in case. Only about 5% of the tunnels/rooms were lit so I assumed I'd get nothing worth keeping from the camera but I was surprised. All I used to take these, in pitch black darkness, was the small LED head torch I was wearing under my hard hat.

The technique seemed to be to open the shutter then look at every part of the subject to illuminate it with the torch, then close the shutter ! A few adjustments in Lightroom and this is what came out.
