Franka Solida

My Grandad produced a mint condition Franka Solida out of a cupboard this weekend, which i'm now gagging to try out but i haven't got a clue what film to use.

It says 2 1/4" square film on the body, and i've also seen it refered to as 6x6. Is it also refered to a medium format?

Anyone got any recommendations for film? Will probably be shooting a mixture of indoor and outdoor stuff - might even make a specific trip down to the Ace Cafe when they've got some classic cars/bikes around.

Ask for that; it's a recognised size. MF can be that and also 6x5 (stand to be corrected).

i don't suppose you know anywhere online i could order it? I have searched but so far only found 1 seller on Amazon.

It is very interesting, i especially like how it's totally mechanical, requiring you to 'cock' the shutter. A great piece of engineering.

I had found that manual already, but thanks anyway. I probably should read through it soon.

That would be 120 film that you need. At 6x6 format that should give you 12 shots per roll. If you Google 120 film its quite widely available.
