What won't you eat?
Discussion
I was just thinking about a comment made on the "How often do you have curry" thread where Benten said he despises spicy food and it occured to me that I've got various friends with odd foibles.
My business partner won't touch rice (because it's foreign
) so curry/chinese is out and tbh pasta is getting a tad exotic for him. But he will eat offal.
Other friends won't consider offal, but are happy eating curry etc. Two of them won't eat fish though.
One pescatarian.
Three won't eat cheese (WTF
), one of whom's a vegetablist.
It's a PITA getting a mix of them round to eat
I'll try anything and there are very few things I hate (avocado and cucumber are the only ones I can think of).
So, how fussy are you or your friends?

recently went to Vietnam with a mate- we ate EVERYTHING- Duck's Tongue, Chicken feet, ostrich, dried smoked squid, crickets, INTESTINE (deep friend in batter and quite rubbery, only managed one!), chicken foetus, crocodile.
We did try to order snake but it was too expensive (£80 a kilo, smallest snake was a kilo and a half!)
My mate said he wouldnt/couldnt eat dog and I drew the line at eating rat (we actually went into a restaurant with a Vietnamese friend who DID order rat for us, luckily, they didnt have any!)

1) Quiche.
I like all the component ingredients, but as a combined dish it a no-no. I think it goes back to my childhood where we'd had it served with salad and it was too dry.
2) Egg on pizza
See the recent "pizza toppings" thread. Just wrong.
3) Mashed carrot/swede/turnip.
Nasty. Too sweet for my palette.

Isn't that commonly called an "egg"?
i won't eat cheese when its cheese like, its not the taste its the texture it makes my teeth feel yuck. but stick on a pizza and its fair game
celery is the spawn of satan and its just disgusting, even touching it makes me cringe, the OH thinks its funny to stick it in food, i still find it and fish it out though. much to her annoyance.
isn't it funny that people around you are not allowed to like or eat certain foods, but if you say you don't like it they think you are weird or childish? that winds me up, its just pure hypocrisy.
