That epic Arnie movie is on 5 right now. There was a scene where he runs out of the shopping centre and gets hit by Sully's Porsche at speed rolling off the bonnet. It looks like Arnie but if it was that was one hell of a risky stunt for him to do.

Does anyone know if it was him or a very good body/face double?

Great one liners in this, even an "I'll be back" smile

Colombian Bad guy: "And if you want your kid back, then you gotta co-operate, right?"

Arnie: "WRONG!"

Love the film. So bad its really funny. Did anyone else notice the Renault 5 in the background of the car chase scene.

Did they really have Renault 5 in california in 1984??

Great film.

I did hear a rumour that there was plans for someone to make a remake. Not sure if that was myth or fact though.

I love the way he smashes that guys face in on the plane, then breaks his neck, and the rest of the passengers just get on reading their books.

Weirdly, FWD, I was flicking through the channels last night and I saw about 20 seconds of the film - and it was that exact scene. I too thought the same thing - it looked very realistic like it was Arnie!

Not much help that, I realise hehe

According to IMDB, there were plans soon after the original film for a sequel, but Arnie was not interested in continuing the role.

The sequel script was adapted, a new director brought in, and the film was subsequently made - DIE HARD.

The rest is history, as they say.

Hey Sully, remember I said I'd kill you last? I lied.

What did you do with Sully? I let him go..

The film is so cr*p it's brilliant.

Oh, and in answer to the OP, I believe that it was a body double and something in my head tells me that he broke his ankle or similar as well, when you see him jump to his feet he starts to hop on one foot.............

So body double of Arnie. Had a search and found Peter Kent, looks like him too.

a couple more howlers...

The state of the yellow porsche after it tips on its side. When arnie drives off, the dents are gone, oonly for them to reappear again when he pulls up at the motel.

Also, you can clearly see the springboards pop up when arnie lobs a grenade or two and the bad guys somersault into the air.

the film is so bad, I bought the DVD!!!
