Sony NEX 5

Following my thread a couple of weeks ago about ditching the SLR I am now SLR less. I've been using a panasonic TZ7 but I might have someone interested in buying that off me so I've been looking at other cameras.

The Sony looks to be a good bit of kit, fairly small, certainly a lot smaller than my SLR was and it's got some nice features and sony are giving the VAT back at the moment which makes the price quite attractive.

The panasonic GF1 looks quite good too but thats quite a few quid more and doesn't seem to offer a great deal for the extra cash.

Does anyone on here have or had use of a NEX 5 that can offer their opinion of them?

Had a mess around with a mates NEX 5....It is a very impressive bit of kit .... and that's coming from a Canon 7D user

Not got one but I recalled reading this

Thanks for that, it seems to do quite favourably apart from the user interface but from looking at DPReview it appears this has been revamped to make it much better to use.

I'm very tempted.
