How do I see what I've done in Photoshop?

I've played around with a photo, and I like what I've done with it...but I don't know exactly what I did, and I want to do it again. Is there any way of seeing what I've done?

I can remember briefly, but Is there any way of saving the editing into a preset?

Q1: Only if you made each modification as a new layer.

Q2: Google or look in help for "Photoshop Actions", that's what you're after. You can record a series of edits and apply them to any image.

Yeah it's got a layer of its own, but I can only copy the layer style. What if I want to come back to it?

No what he means is you did some dodge on a new layer, then you created another layer and desaturated, then created another layer and cloned. Etc
