Photo frames

Hi guys,

I am looking for a rebated picture frame which will accept a board about 15mm thick, and a further 17 mm things stuck on it, so total thickness is around 31mm. I need a standoff between the frame and glass to stop it touching the glass. Sized of the pic is 280 x 355 mm.

I have tried a few places, e-frame being the first as I have used them before, but they dont do rebated frames thick enough, or enough stand off either. Any ideas?

This is the entire picture to be framed, my daughter made this up her self for mothers day this year, and it is currently standing in the front room gathering dust, hense I need a frame.

And this ones shows exactly the thickness and stand off, the board is about 15mm, and the stand off needed is a further 17mm.

If you can't get off the shelf (I doubt you will) any decent picture framer can do that... had something similar done a while back.

Never thought of that, will have to google for one near me. Tks.

The Range have frames with depth but probably not the right size - though if it's close, you could make up the difference with a mount (they sell those too).

Although I found a frame, one supplier reverted to me with :-

So you would be looking for a deep rebate moulding(frame) of approximately 34 mm plus, will have to check with my supplier, if not, being a joiner I could probably make one up using my own machines and rebate the moulding myself, the only thing is it is limited to the design of moulding, then but having 35years woodworking experience I'm confident we could work out something to suit Cheers Andy.

Now thats a service you don't get much of these days.
