Hi all,

Austec Racing have been invited as part of the Alfa Romeo championship to Silverstone this weekend to support the F3 championship.

I think the Tuscan challange are there as well.

Anyone else going?

Yup.

I think Ted will be posting something up in due course, but we are opening up the Insane Racing awning to PHers again this weekend

Personally I am hoping for a slightly quieter (and more successful) weekend compared to Donington.

PHers are our friends

It worked quite well at Donington. Most people tend to look us up anyway, but for those with not quite so much front it gives them somewhere they can come and have a cup of tea and a chat without feeling they are intruding.

The Alfa field looked huge when I saw the entry list last week!

I think theres about 50 cars altogether!.

I will be there Friday night so you must come and say hello.

We will be the ones with the big orange lorry, a caravan, tent, TVR and a couple of other support vehicles!

Love to, but after the Donington shunt, I suspect I'm going to be busy most of the night! I get the car back from the bodyshop on Friday morning, then up to the circuit to reassemble.

We still have 2 hubs to replace, plus a wishbone, a new seat, harnesses, steering wheel, corner weights and set up to do. Steering rack to modify, front radiator assembly to re-attach. Oh and the wrong gearbox is in the car. And we have to fit the new bonnet and completely re-sticker the car.

Sh1t, I feel tired already

So you might need to pop round to us to say hello.

Big white awning, with Tuscans 5, 6, 7, 28 and 38

We'll be there too, with the Ginettas - 7:15 sign on Saturday morning - now that just isn't fair!

I'll definitely try to make it over to the Insane awning this weekend to say hi.

Good luck with the rebuild Andy.

Nathan Freke will be driving the No 28 car this weekend in the TVR Tuscan challenge. The number made famous by Jamie Campbell-Walter and Mark Johnston.

Wasn't in superkarts or whatever last year was he? If it's the lad I'm thinking of, saw him at Oulton last year. Very quick and a total nutter, as you have to be to go anywhere near a superkart

May I bring the right honourable gentleman's attention to the 5 day weather forecast for Towcester.

Sunny, up to 19 degrees C. (Ok maybe the odd shower on Sat, but otherwise glorious).

Mind you, its bloody difficult getting the tent pegs through the tarmacin the paddock at Silverstone
