Update: Ferrari P4/5C Racer
Jim Glickenhaus's unique 'Ring racer finally begins to look like a car...sort of
The unique and determinedly independent Ferrari P4/5C racer of super-wealthy car nut Jim Glickenhaus is finally taking shape - and here are the pictures to prove it.
Those blessed with good memories (and an ability to cope with Monday mornings) will recall that Glickenhaus is going to use his Ferrari P4/5C to take on the might of BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and Audi at the 2011 Nurburgring 24 hour race.
Glickenhaus's car, which will use a 430 Scuderia chassis and a 430 GT2 racer running gear wrapped up in a rather curvy body, is currently having its carbon fibre bodywork wrapped over the roll cage and monocoque, but it should be ready for testing out in the real world early in 2011.
And the chances of taking on and beating the big boys at the Nordschleife? Well, realistically they've got to be pretty slim, but Jim has gathered together a fine collection of drivers - Mika Salo, Nicola Larini, Fabrizio Giovanardi, and Luca Cappellari - so who knows what could happen? Either way, we'll certainly be cheering the Ferrari on come June next year.
You can have a look at our previous story on the Ferrari P4/5C for more technical info, or follow the P4/5C story via its facebook page.
I have been on there for sometime, as a Ferrari fan it is amazing to have the opportunity to chat to both Jim and others who have owned such rare cars including a few ex GTO owners with great stories.

P 4/5 Competizione will be fully tested as well and will be much more aerodynamically efficient than an F 430 GT2.
