Exhaust manifolds

When I bought the old S3 it had an exhaust leak in the manifold (N/S back cylinder) the garage that sorted it put double gaskets on and that resolved the problem. Looking at it closely now the manifolds are off it seems that they are not exactly in line (The O/S one is perfect when putting a straight edge on it) with the N/S back cylinder being somewhat off line by a mil or so.
Judging by the amount of dents on the N/S downpipe from where its been clobbered I would guess that this is the root cause.
1. Can the manifold be straightened?
2. If not, can I buy just the one?

You can certainly buy just one new either from TVR Car arts or ACT products BUT they will be stainless and expensive, otherwise try the specalist breakers or keep an eye on ebay and classisifed ads here

I cut the links between the flanges off mine, this allows each flange to flex and pull up nicely to the head.

Also found the now three individual faces that bolt to the head were themselves not flat and required some careful filing.

Finally I don't rate the usual "cheap" gaskets supplied by many spares outlets, the genuine Ford ones have a metal sealing ring set in or I found some all metal ones at an Autojumble labelled up as Corsair V4 (remember them ?)that seem to be holding up well.
