Future of film

There are still a few film cameras being made so presumably film is expected to be a available for a few years yet. But is it likely to disappear in 10 years or so? Or will availability step down to a low but steady level, like vinyl records?

I see it in the same vein as vinyl records and valve amplifiers, yes. There will always be an esoteric/enthusiast following.

People still make daguerrotypes and wet collodion prints. Film will be here as long as people are.

I shoot a couple of 35mm rolls a month in my Nikon F5 and am able to use my D300s/D700 lenses. I shoot Fuji 160s, get it developed and scanned Hi Res by club35 in London and then process in LR/PS and importantly put it through portraiture. Fantastic skin tones - perfect for portraits; awesome. Can't replace digital but definitely has a place. Expensive mind!
