Alternatives to Photobox

Hasn't been done for awhile so what's the current thinking.
I have used Photobox for c6 years but am finding their quality to be variable particularly prints coming back considerably 'darker' than the digital file uploaded.
Whilst in time they do supply alternates, this is not what I am looking for.
So in essence I am looking for an online printer, that is consistent in output, reasonable pricing structure and a quick turnaround

I've not found anyone who gives a better compromise to those criteria of consistant, fast and cheap (IMO). I do have issues with their occasional quality problems but they are cheap and fast and do put things right when they screw up.

Lots of the online processors will offer your first 20 or more 6x4 prints for free, you just pay P&P. A while back I did an exercise of trying out a lot of them and some of the results were quite shocking!

I've used Kodak and Bonusprint as well as Photobox. Quality of prints have been good from both, but Photobox still wins considering all other important issues, mainly speed and customer service. In my experience, Photobox are the only one that will reprint the order without any questions asked, whereas you have to send the prints back to them first for refund/replacements with others.

I use ProAm Imaging. The print service is not the most user-friendly, as you have to be precise with your image sizing and colour settings, but if you know what you are doing with image files their prints are very good. I have actions set up in Photoshop and PhotoMechanic that means I can batch process files to their spec quickly and easily, but the first time is a bit of a faff.

I have had more consistent prints from Snapfish (crap uploader though from Flickr) and Boots tbh

Not unless Photobox are now doing same day delivery to the Boots store within 1 hour???

I think I should have said that I am not looking for volume prints, but sizes A4 to 30 x 20 which potentially are being sold to customers

Then definitely give ProAm a try, as long as you are comfortable with DPI, images size settings, colourspaces and ideally have a calibrated monitor.
